Numbers 25:7-13

7 aWhen Phinehas bthe son of Eleazar, son of Aaron the priest, saw it, he rose and left the congregation and took a spear in his hand 8and went after the man of Israel into the chamber and pierced both of them, the man of Israel and the woman through her belly. Thus the plague on the people of Israel was stopped. 9Nevertheless, cthose who died by the plague were twenty-four thousand.

The Zeal of Phinehas

10And the Lord said to Moses, 11Phinehas the son of Eleazar, son of Aaron the priest, has turned back my wrath from the people of Israel, in that he dwas jealous with my jealousy among them, so that I did not consume the people of Israel in emy jealousy. 12Therefore say, fBehold, I give to him my covenant of peace, 13and it shall be to him and to ghis descendants after him the covenant of ha perpetual priesthood, because he was jealous for his God and made atonement for the people of Israel.’”

Numbers 31:6

6And Moses sent them to the war, a thousand from each tribe, together with Phinehas the son of Eleazar the priest, with the vessels of the sanctuary and ithe trumpets for the alarm in his hand.

Joshua 22:13

13Then the people of Israel sent to the people of Reuben and the people of Gad and the half-tribe of Manasseh, in the land of Gilead, jPhinehas the son of Eleazar the priest,

Joshua 22:31-32

31And Phinehas the son of Eleazar the priest said to the people of Reuben and the people of Gad and the people of Manasseh, “Today we know that kthe Lord is in our midst, because you have not committed this breach of faith against the Lord. Now you have delivered the people of Israel from the hand of the Lord.”

32Then Phinehas the son of Eleazar the priest, and the chiefs, returned from the people of Reuben and the people of Gad lin the land of Gilead to the land of Canaan, to the people of Israel, and brought back word to them.

Joshua 24:33

33And Eleazar the son of Aaron died, and they buried him at Gibeah, the town of mPhinehas his son, which had been given him in nthe hill country of Ephraim.

Judges 20:28

28and oPhinehas the son of Eleazar, son of Aaron, pministered before it in those days), saying, “Shall we go out once more to battle against our brothers, the people of Benjamin, or shall we cease?” And the Lord said, “Go up, for tomorrow I will give them into your hand.”

Psalms 106:30-31

30Then qPhinehas stood up and intervened,
and the plague was stayed.
31And that was rcounted to him as righteousness
from generation to generation forever.
